Typically, people say that one and one come together to become one. I believe a healthier relationship is when there are two individuals, but then together they create something greater than the two: the spiritual bond/relationship itself. Neither individual is diminished. So, one plus one makes three: synergy of love. Also note that the relationship spirit casts no shadow; however, the more realistic symbols for trees do cast shadows, further emphasizing the feeling of spirit.
